‘Smilla’s Sense Of Snow’: Amma Asante To Direct Constantin Adaptation Of Peter Höeg Novel

After recently revealing he’s filming for a new British movie entitled On The Other Foot with his son Junior, the full cast joining Peter Andre for his latest flick has been unveiled. Comedian Dapper Laughs – real name Daniel O'Reilly – and rapper Lady Leshurr, who is competing in the new series of Dancing On Ice, will star alongside Pete and Junior, as well as The Singing Dentist, aka Dr Milad Shadrooh.

Naman Ramachandran Acclaimed British director Amma Asante (“The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Mrs America”) will direct a drama series adaptation of acclaimed novel “Smilla’s Sense of Snow” for German outfit Constantin Film.Based on the bestselling book by Peter Höeg, and created and written by Clive Bradley (“Trapped”), the series will follows Smilla Jaspersen, whose investigation into the mysterious death of an immigrant Inuit child from the projects evolves into a much grander supernatural epic.

Naman Ramachandran Spanish auteur Pedro Almodóvar’s English-language debut “The Human Voice” and British artist Steve McQueen’s “Lovers Rock” have been added to the British Film Institute London Film Festival.Almodovar’s short, loosely based on Jean Cocteau’s play, presents a woman on the edge portrayed by Tilda Swinton, who is waiting for her lover to call.
