Sky Studios Italia has unveiled a restructure and new leadership team on the final day of the MIA Market in Rome.
Sonia Rovai, Senior Director of Scripted Productions, is exiting and from today the commissioning, in-house productions, content coordination & development, and promotion & talent management departments will all report directly to Nils Hartmann, EVP of Sky Studios Italia.
Paired with the reorganization have been four promotions, with Devils exec Erica Negri upped to lead the commissioning team, Chiara Cucci helming in-house productions, Emanuele Marchesis heading Sky Studios’ content co-ordination and development and Martina Ceramicola taking on promotion and talent management. Rounding out the Sky Studios Italia team are Ivana Kastratovic, Head of Production Management, and Loredana Di Domenico, Head of Business Affairs, who will also report directly to Hartmann.
“I am proud that our new leadership team is made up of homegrown talent from within Sky Studios, pointing to the strength of experience and creativity within our gang,” said Hartmann. “Together, we will work to further strengthen our production capabilities in order to bring fans even more ambitious, unmissable TV.”
Sky has pulled scripted originals from Germany but is pushing on in Italy, having recently announced prequels of hit TV shows Gomorrah and Romanzo Criminale. It is also making Mussolini series M. Son of the Century, directed by Joe Wright, plus a second season of Call My Agent Italia.
