Kevin Spacey testifies in sex abuse trial: 'Not true'

An emotional Kevin Spacey testified in a New York courtroom Monday that he never made a sexual pass at the actor Anthony Rapp, who has sued for millions of dollars in damages, claiming the Academy Award-winning actor tried to take him to bed when he was 14. Repeatedly, Spacey denied Rapp's claims that a then-26-year-old Spacey picked him up like a groom does a bride after a 1986 party at his Manhattan apartment and put him on his bed before lying on top of him. Rapp testified earlier in a civil trial in which he accuses Spacey of assault and battery that he squirmed out from underneath an inebriated Spacey in the fully clothed encounter before fleeing, only to have Spacey follow him to the door and ask if he was sure he wanted to leave.

Meet the new Queen, Imelda Staunton: First look at ‘The Crown’ Season 5

“The Crown” has, once again, changed heads.Netflix released photos of its new Season 5 cast of the British royal family TV series on Friday. This ensemble of actresses will continue through Season 6, the show’s last.Imelda Staunton becomes the third and final actress to play Queen Elizabeth II on the series — this time during the tumultuous 1990s, in which a fire ravaged Windsor Castle, Princess Diana and Prince Charles had a messy divorce and Diana died in a Paris car crash in 1997.One still shows Staunton, 66, as the queen, looking smaller and grayer than her predecessor Olivia Colman, who won an Emmy for playing the part, next to Jonathan Pryce, 75, as Prince Philip.Another sees a sunglasses-and-swimsuit-clad Diana — Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki, 32, takes over from Emma Corrin — on a boat with Charles (Dominic West, 52), and young princes William (Timothee Sambor) and Harry (Teddy Hawley). But her happiness will be revealed as a facade.

Joey Ramone’s Publishing Catalog Acquired by Primary Wave for $10 Million

Jem Aswad Senior Music Editor Primary Wave Music has acquired a major stake in Joey Ramone’s music-publishing assets for around $10 million, according to people close to the transaction. Terms of the deal include non-exclusive rights to license Joey Ramone’s name and likeness, as well as income for songs across the band’s repertoire of music; the news was first reported by the Wall Street Journal. While the music-catalog market has been booming for the past several years, with blockbuster deals for catalogs by Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen (both for around $600 million), Neil Young, Stevie Nicks, James Brown (all around the low nine figures) and more, this is possibly the first such deal for a punk-era artist, and could open up a new field of opportunity in a rapidly narrowing market.
