Perth.Officers from Police Scotland swooped on Newhouse Road in the city shortly before 6pm on Saturday, July 4.The man, 29, was arrested for the alleged possession of a weapon, thought to be a sword.Emergency services responded to a “disturbance” at around 5.50pm.Witnesses of the incident said he was armed with the weapon.There were no injuries reported during the incident.At least three police vehicles responded to the report and the man was arrested near a roundabout on Newhouse Road.Police
