Shari Hanson Upped To EVP, Physical Production And Visual Effects For Paramount Pictures & Nickelodeon Animation

Carson Burton “Succession” actress Sarah Snook and Australian comedian Demi Lardner have joined the cast of the upcoming Hulu animated comedy series “Koala Man.” Both were announced at the “Koala Man” panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday.Snook is set to play Vicky, who believes her husband Kevin — middle-aged father as well as the somewhat pathetic titular hero —  is just going through a phase. She tolerates Koala Man, a superhero whose only superpower is an intense passion for following rules and snuffing out petty crime in the Australian town of Dapto. However, Vicky hopes someday Kevin will snap out of his bizarre mid-life crisis so that he can show her the passion she feels is missing.

Sarah Michelle Gellar has a new role in the works. The “Buffy” alum will star in “Wolf Pack,” an original series from MTV Entertainment Studios for Paramount+.

Pam Hogarth will be this year’s recipient of the Visual Effects Society’s Founders Award for her contributions to the art, science and business of visual effects and for her meritorious service to the Society. Hanson’s promotion comes as Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Studios work to streamline their strategy for production.

She will be succeeded by Sabrina Caluori who has been promoted to EVP and Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy for Nickelodeon. In her new position, Caluori, previously SVP, Brand and Content Strategy, will be leading on- and off-air consumer marketing, brand creative and content launches globally across the brand’s linear, digital and social platforms. She will report to Brian Robbins, President and CEO of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon; and Chief Content Officer, Kids & Family for Paramount+.
