Awards season is officially underway, with three different ceremonies occurring in the last seven days. Although we can barely keep up with whose been nominated for what, there’s one thing that hasn’t escaped our notice – the beauty looks.
Although each ceremony so far has been hosted in LA’s considerably sunnier climes, the A-listers have still been bringing us some major winter inspiration when it comes to their makeup and manicures, but none more than Selena Gomez who is now officially at the top of our beauty inspo list. For the Golden Globes last week, Selena wore a stunning scarlet gown from Armani, which she paired with some classic diamond jewellery, a timeless smokey eye, and our personal favourite – a chic jet black manicure.
This time of year is the perfect time to play around with much darker shades than you usually would in winter, which is why Selena’s simple black mani is what we’ll be thinking of when we’re ready for our next nail update. Her nails were done, as always, by celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik, who shared a close up of the glossy black design on his Instagram, saying: “ @selenagomez’s Patent Leather Mani for the @goldenglobes.
We wanted to compliment her custom @giorgioarmani dress while bringing a little edge with a high gloss, black mani. Tom then went on to explain exactly how he got the patent ebony finish, saying: “I always have to start off with a meticulous manicure using my @tweezerman x Tom Bachik Nail Care Travel Set.
