Selena Gomez Appears To Address Her Relationship With The Weeknd On “Souvenir”

Demi Lovato shook up the internet a bit earlier this month when she told Harper's Bazaar that she and aren't friends right now.The soundbite came when Bazaar asked Lovato about the sweet message Gomez wrote her after the 2020 Grammys, when Lovato performed her new song "Anyone." (It was her since her 2018 overdose.) “When you grow up with somebody, you’re always going to have love for them. But I’m not friends with her, so it felt…,” Lovato before reportedly stopping herself midthought.

Selena Gomez is still one of The Weeknd's biggest fans. The "Lose You To Love Me" singer showed her support for her ex, who she dated back in 2017, with her "Cooking With Selena" Spotify playlist, which is comprised of the songs that Selena listens to while in the kitchen.

Demi Lovato is grateful for her stint as a Disney darling, but all the friendships she forged during that period of her life haven't followed her into adulthood.
