Mae Muller has spoken to NME about leaving her record label to become an independent artist, feeling “at peace” with Eurovision and headlining this week’s Club NME event.The 26-year-old singer-songwriter will take to the stage at London’s Scala on Friday (April 12) for a live headline set. She’ll be joined on the night by Self Esteem and special guest Raven Mandella – both of whom will be hitting the decks to DJ into the early hours.The legendary Club NME series returned last September with Courteeners playing in London before Blossoms delivered a special show in Manchester earlier this year.

Anitta has announced a run of headline shows for her 2024 ‘Baile Funk Experience Tour’ – find all the details below.The Brazilian singer-songwriter is due to head out on the road next month in support of her sixth album ‘Funk Generation’, which will be released on April 26.Kicking off in Mexico City on May 18, the North American leg of ‘The Baile Funk Experience Tour’ will also include stop-offs in Los Angeles, Miami Beach, Toronto, Chicago and New York.Anitta is then set to visit South America, with gigs scheduled in Bogotá, Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aires.The artist will embark on a run of concerts in Europe too, with dates confirmed in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Ibiza, Madrid, Barcelona and Milan.Anitta will play at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on June 28, marking her only UK date on the tour. The Libertines have revealed that they still have the ambition to break America, despite frontman Pete Doherty being “banned” from the country for two decades.The British indie icons reflected on the success of their career over the past 20 years during a new interview with The Sun (via Music News), and revealed that there is still a part of them that wishes they could take their music across the pond.The discussion came in light of their recently released album, ‘All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade’, which was their first full-length LP in nearly a decade and the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Anthems for Doomed Youth’.Opening up about their hopes to take the album into the States, Carl Barat opened up about the struggles they have faced with the prospect over their career. “Trouble is, Pete’s been banned there for the past 20 years,” he said, explaining how Doherty’s well-documented struggles with addiction have led to various legal issues, and prevented the band from heading Stateside.He continued, going on to share how, although the frontman’s sobriety may help them overcome their previous obstacles, they still have no idea what size their audience would be outside of the UK and Europe.“We don’t know what we’re worth ticket-wise — it could be Madison Square Garden or a local bar,” he pondered.
