A second man has been charged in connection with the death of two people in a flat in Edinburgh.
Police released a statement on Sunday morning, saying a 40-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident in Greendykes Road in Edinburgh on Tuesday, November 1.
He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow, Monday, November 7.
A 65-year-old man was previously charged after the two men, aged 37 and 66, were found in the property in the Niddrie area of the Capital.
Officers had been called to the flat around 8.25pm. They were pronounced dead at the scene, with their deaths being treated as suspicious.
Detective Chief Inspector Susan Balfour, of the Major Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the families and friends of both men at what is a very difficult time for them.
“We understand that this is an upsetting incident for the local community and I would urge anyone with concerns to speak to one of our officers.".
