Police have locked down a street in Johnstone after a man was seriously assaulted in the street.

A second man has been charged in connection with the death of Neil Canney who was allegedly gunned down on his Greenock doorstep last week.
The 28-year-old man is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday (March 6). It comes after police charged a 22-year-old man on Friday. He will also appear in court today.
Neil was found seriously injured in Nairn Road around 1.15am on Tuesday, February 29. The 37-year-old was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he died a short time later.
A Police Scotland Statement said: "A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Neil Canney in Greenock.
"The 37-year-old was found seriously injured in Nairn Road around 1.15am on Tuesday, 28 February 2023.
"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he died a short time later.
"The 29-year-old is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday, 6 March, 2023.
"A 22-year-old man has already been arrested, charged and is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday, 6 March, 2023.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
