Sean Penn addressed a horrible rumor about his relationship with Madonna
If you were unaware, the 63-year-old actor and director married the 65-year-old Queen of Pop in 1985. They separated in 1989.
There were rumors of tension in their relationship, including whispers that Sean was physically abusive. The claims lasted for quite some time, and he even filed a defamation lawsuit over them in 2015.
In a new interview, Sean addressed the allegations about him and where he stood with Madonna all of these years later.

Speaking to the New York Times, Sean recalled a time when his home was raided by a SWAT team because Madonna had said that she was worried about guns in the home.
“I said: ‘I’m not coming out. I’m going to finish my breakfast.’ The next thing I knew, windows were being broken all around the house and they came in,” he said, adding that he wound up in handcuffs.
At the time there were rumors that he “trussed [Madonna] up like a turkey.” Some people also believed that he hit her with a baseball bat.
Madonna denied the allegations in 2015. Sean also made it clear that there was no truth to them.
“Now I think it’s fair to say that I’m not the biggest guy in the world. But if I hit Mike Tyson in the head with a baseball bat, he’s going to the hospital,” he said.
Describing Madonna as “someone I love,” Sean said that they had a good relationship.
“It turns out it’s a lot quicker to repair a friendship after divorce if there are not kids involved,” he told the outlet, seemingly comparing the divorce to the one with Robin Wright in 2010: “It took Robin and I quite a while. There was a lot of drama.”
