Police in Paisley have issued an appeal to trace a man last seen near the town's main hospital.
Barry McCullagh, 40, is from Castlemilk in Glasgow but was last seen on Corsebar Road in the Renfrewshire town, near the Royal Alexandra Hospital, at around 5.20pm on Wednesday October 5. He has not been seen since, prompting a missing persons appeal by police on Thursday.
Officers say Barry is white, around 5ft 9ins in height and of medium build, with short black hair. When last seen he was wearing black and navy jogging bottoms, a black softshell-style jacket and grey and white trainers.
His sister April issued an appeal on social media urging anyone who sees him to get in touch with the police. She wrote: "Our family is really concerned and worried sick because he doesn’t know the area. If this could find him, please contact the police as this has been reported or myself - we would really appreciate it. Please please share."
Sergeant Paul Connelly, of Paisley police station, said Barry's family was "concerned for his welfare" as he has not been in touch with anyone since he was last seen on Wednesday.
Sgt Connelly added: "I would appeal to anyone with any information about where he is to get in touch with police via 101. Please quote reference number 3910 of Wednesday, 5 October 2022, when calling.
“We’d also appeal to Barry himself to get in touch to let us know he is safe and well.”
