Scotland staycation lockdown rules confirmed by John Swinney

Students could return to Scottish universities after the Christmas holidays on a staggered basis to prevent another mass outbreak of Covid in halls of residence, John Swinney has suggested. The education secretary said ministers were "learning lessons" after campuses across the country saw cases of the virus soar after students first returned in September.
