Sault tease new project ‘Air’ with snippets of fresh music

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced details of two upcoming gigs in New York and L.A. as well as confirming new music is due in the fall.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs appear to have shared a snippet of new music while announcing headline shows in New York and Los Angeles.After teasing the gigs over the weekend, the Karen O-led trio have confirmed they’ll take to the stage at NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium on October 1 before visiting the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on October 6.The Linda Lindas will open for the band on both dates, with Japanese Breakfast also appearing as a special guest in LA. An additional support act for the New York concert is still to be announced.It’ll mark the first time be the first time Yeah Yeah Yeahs have played headline shows in New York and Los Angeles since 2017 and 2018 respectively.Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time this Friday (May 6) – buy yours here.

During a new interview with GQ Magazine, Eggers confirmed that he’s indeed working on a project in the Elizabethan era but was scarce on details and whether there will be an added genre element going on.

B.I has announced his plans to release a “global album project” for this year.Today (April 21), a cryptic announcement video was uploaded to the singer-rapper’s YouTube channel, completely animated with a cyberpunk aesthetic that seems to signal the visual concept for the new project.At the end of the teaser, it is revealed that there are plans for a pre-release single and two EPs to be put out this year under the project, dubbed ‘Love Or Loved (LOL)’. More details are expected to arrive in the coming months.It was first revealed in February this year that B.I has plans for singles, a global EP and tours this year, after the K-pop idol had signed a new deal with United Stated-based talent management agency Wasserman.

Editors have shared their new single ‘Heart Attack’ and confirmed the addition of composer and producer Blanck Mass to their line-up as a full member.Blanck Mass, real name Benjamin John Power (also of Fuck Buttons), previously worked with the band on their sixth album ‘Violence’, which arrived in March 2018.“Having worked with the band for coming up to five years now, joining Editors seemed more like a natural progression than a decision that had to be made,” Power said in a statement. “We know that we work well together, are on a similar page creatively, and are all very close friends.“Being part of a ‘creative conglomerate’ is something that I haven’t experienced for a while now so to be part of something that works in that way again is both liberating and exciting in equal measures.”Editors have also shared their first new music since 2019 with the song ‘Heart Attack’, which frontman Tom Smith has described as “a song of obsession, about losing yourself in someone, a love song, a morbid love song”.The video for ‘Heart Attack’, which you can see above, was made by the director and visual artist Felix Geen.
