Yungblud has shared a new version of his recent single ‘Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today’.The original take on the track, which was released last month, was a short and upbeat pop-rock song.The latest version the artist (real name Dominic Harrison) has shared, dubbed the “sad version”, is much more downbeat than the original version and sees Yungblud strumming an acoustic guitar in a black and white video. Sorry have announced details of their second album, ‘Anywhere But Here’ – watch the video for new song ‘Let The Lights On’ and read our interview with vocalist Asha Lorenz below.The new album follows the band’s 2020 debut ‘925’, which NME awarded five-stars upon its release in 2020, and saw them work with producer Ali Chant and Portishead’s Adrian Utley in Bristol. Lorenz said enlisting Chant and Utley for the project was a choice made to add more of a “classic” feel to their genre-meshing sound.“We were at Ali’s studio down in Bristol, and we asked to work with them to get a more classic sound,” she explained.

Julien Baker has announced a three-track EP of outtakes from her recent third album, ‘Little Oblivion’, alongside the release of an emotive new single titled ‘Guthrie’.The EP, titled ‘B-Sides’, will arrive on July 21 via Matador (pre-save it here), coinciding with the first date of her joint US tour with Angel Olsen and Sharon Van Etten.The record features three songs that were recorded during the studio sessions for ‘Little Oblivions’ but didn’t make the cut for the album’s final tracklist. Oliver Sim has shared a new track called ‘GMT’ and announced a string of headline dates for this autumn.The song is the latest preview of The xx musician’s debut solo album ‘Hideous Bastard’, which is due for release on September 9 via Young. The Mars Volta have detailed another new single, ‘Graveyard Love’, as well as an extension of their US tour.The announcement follows the release of their first new music in ten years with ‘Blacklight Shine’, shared last month (June 21).The Texas-formed band released six studio albums between 2003 and 2012 before splitting due to a falling-out between founding members Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López.The pair quickly made amends, however, and formed a new group, Antemasque. They also revamped their pre-Mars Volta outfit, At-the-Drive-In, for a new record in 2017.“They will seek your ruin, and burn your lands, because if they can’t have you, no one can,” Cedric Bixler-Zavala offered as a cryptic description of ‘Graveyard Love’, which will be released on Friday (July 8) alongside a new short film.The Mars Volta previewed ‘Blacklight Shine’ by setting up a mysterious box installation in Los Angeles’ Grand Park, which plays new material from the band when you walk inside.Last month, an audio-visual art installation was also erected in Los Angeles’ Grand Park, titled ‘L’YTOME HODORXÍ TELESTERION’, where they previewed ‘Blacklight Shine’.

First single ‘Never Forget’ is out now.Having relocated back to Zambia from Australia during the pandemic, ‘As Above, So Below’ sees her work with collaborators in the Zambian and South African music scenes, and take influence from local sub-genres, such as Zamrock, which inspired the new single.“’Never Forget’ is an ode to Zamrock music, a genre born in the 70s combining traditional Zambian music and psychedelic rock”, she says.

Ozzy Osbourne has announced his new album ‘Patient Number 9’ with the release of its title track ahead of the record’s release this September.The album’s title track also features guitar work from Jeff Beck, who joins an A-list cast of musicians guest-starring on the track including Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, Zakk Wylde, and producer Andrew Watt.A music video has also been released alongside the single that sees Ozzy portraying the titular patient, hunched over in what appears to be a room in a mental asylum before he falls into a comic-book-esque world of madness. Djo – the solo project of Stranger Things star Joe Keery – has released ‘Change’, the latest single to be lifted from the actor-musician’s upcoming sophomore album.The song dropped yesterday (June 22), and marks Djo’s first release since the 2020 track, ‘Keep Your Head Up’. Before that, Djo made its debut with the 2019 album, ‘TWENTY TWENTY’, which followed Keery’s previous run as a member of the since-disbanded group Post Animal.‘Change’ sees Djo continue the psychedelia of ‘TWENTY TWENTY’ while demonstrating the pop-punk sound of ‘Keep Your Head Up’.
