Salma Hayek pretty much owns the colour purple. The Eternals star, 55, walked the BAFTAs red carpet in a purple velvet-and-lace high-slit Gucci dress paired with black heels. To complete the look, Salma rocked a smokey cat eye and a simple bun.
Salma also shared a few full-body and glam photos from the event on her social media. In one post, she even pokes fun at her near wardrobe malfunction thanks to the low neckline on her dress. 'Sometimes in an effort to cover something, other things show up more,' she said.
While I can definitely appreciate Salma's sense of humour, it's clear that even she knows how incredibly toned her legs look. Fortunately, she's always been open about what she does to stay fit. In 2012, Salma's former trainer Sara Shears told Shape that she would do quick 30-minute workouts five to seven times a week.
Now, Salma makes a point to add variety to her workout regimen. She's also a big fan of kickboxing and dance-based workouts that incorporate strength training. Salma is super petite, so adding in the strength training really gave her some nice muscle definition and lines to accentuate the beautiful body she was born with,' said Shears. While she does her best to stay active, Salma told the New York Times in 2017 that she's not an 'exercise person. ' 'I do scuba diving, but it's not really exercise,' she said.
As for her diet, Salma doesn't set many restrictions on herself, but she is mindful of how often she eats meat. 'It doesn’t matter what my diet philosophy is because I don’t follow it. I don’t have the discipline,' she told the Times.

NEW YORK -- The New York Times' front-page photo Monday of the grisly aftermath of a Russian attack on civilians in Ukraine offers a reminder of how journalists try to weigh the sensibilities of customers with the need to illustrate the reality of war.The picture, taken by photographer Lynsey Addario, shows Ukrainian soldiers tending to the bloodied bodies of four people moments after a mortar exploded near them.The newspaper, when it tweeted out a story about the incident late Sunday, warned people that it contained graphic images. Yet the photo was also used prominently on the Times' website and took up four of five columns on the top of Monday's newspaper, where there is no chance for such a warning.Cliff Levy, deputy managing editor of The Times, tweeted that Monday was one of the most important front pages of the war because of Addario’s photo.In a statement, Meaghan Looram, director of photography for The Times, said the newspaper doesn't have a “blanket policy for decisions like this," instead encouraging editors to ask themselves and consult with others on a series of questions that include whether a photo's news value demands that it be seen.
