‘Sacrifice’: Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Salma Hayek Pinault & Brendan Fraser To Star In New Movie From ‘Athena’ Director Romain Gavras

Gucci Cruise 2025 show was on Monday, and Mexican stars Salma Hayek and Eiza González made the night a celebration. Attending the firm’s event in London, the duo represented two generations of Hollywood in a stylish, star-studded evening filled with memorable moments.

Filmmaker Coralie Fargeat’s “The Substance” horror had been under wraps for some time. Described as a body horror seen through a feminist lens, for months, all the French writer/director has said about the movie was that it would “push boundaries with a different kind of violence.” But if the Cannes Film Festival synopsis wasn’t already self-evident, the newly released teaser for “The Substance” basically gives up the ghost.

CANNES – George Miller’s “Furiosa” got a warm reception from global critics and the Cannes Film Festival faithful last night, and it already has many wondering if another “Mad Max” film is in the works. Miller has often told the story about how “Fury Road: A Mad Max Saga” was only made after scripts provided the back stories for Furiosa (originally played by Charlize Theron) and Max (Tom Hardy) were completed.

CANNES – At the very least, and no matter what your personal opinion of the end result, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” is a reminder. A reminder to never, never, ever doubt the brilliance of George Miller’s cinematic eye.

Furiosa‘s lead actor Anya Taylor-Joy won’t be speaking much in the upcoming film – find out why below.In a recent chat with The Telegraph, director George Miller revealed that Taylor-Joy, who will be portraying the titular Furiosa, only has “around” 30 lines of dialogue throughout the entire film.According to the director, that’s by design. All lead actors in the Mad Max franchise haven’t had much dialogue in their films; Mel Gibson and Tom Hardy both spoke minimally in their respective films.

The behind-the-scenes drama of “Mad Max: Fury Road” is legendary, at this point. There have been so many interviews about how Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy were very contentious.

Like his last film Athena that premiered last Venice and was released on Netflix, Sacrifice has a similar combustible and propulsive anarchy coursing through the film. This is closer to satire, but the script by Gavras and Will Arbery was strong enough to compel the leads to commit over the span of four days since the script was sent to talent. More actors will be set shortly, and I expect that the project — CAA Media Finance is selling the world with Rocket Science — won’t have a lot of territories left by the time buyers hit the Croisette. All the elements are there to launch Gavras as a major writer/director, here making his first English language film.

Chris Hemsworth has opened up about his genetic predisposition for Alzheimer’s disease, and the public reaction to the news.While working on the docuseries Limitless in 2022, the Thor star took a number of genetic tests, which revealed that he is likely to be diagnosed with the disease.According to the NHS, Alzheimer’s is a progressive condition, with symptoms mainly including memory loss, confusion, disorientation, problems with speech and language, and hallucinations.The show revealed that Hemsworth carries two copies of a gene closely associated with Alzheimer’s, meaning he is eight-to-10 times more likely to suffer from the condition.The news reportedly coincided with the actor taking some time off, which led some fans to believe the two were connected. Now, in a new interview with Vanity Fair, Hemsworth has opened up about the experience.“It really kind of pissed me off because it felt like I had been vulnerable with something personal and shared this,” he said.
