S.W.A.T. is returning, after all.
Despite reports that the series would come to an end after Season 7, CBS decided to move forward with a renewal, with Season 8 now on the way.
The show, which has been running since 2017, centers around a locally born and bred S.W.A.T. sergeant and his team of highly-trained men and women as they solve crimes in Los Angeles.

Jamie Lang During its Annecy panel this afternoon, Adult Swim is unveiling full series greenlights for a pair of new shows as well as a season three order for its popular surreal workplace comedy “Smiling Friends.” Created by Emmy-winning writer and executive producer Adele “Supreme” Williams (“My Dad the Bounty Hunter”), “Oh My God, Yes! A Series of Extremely Relatable Circumstances” is inspired by her book of a similar name, which got a pilot episode that first aired during Adult Swim’s pilot block in 2023.
