Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary has issued a warning to customers hoping to get a refund for flights which were cancelled as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic.
Mr O'Leary, whose budget airline is axing 3,000 jobs following the collapse in demand for flights, said they have a backlog of 25 million claims and it could take 'many months' for customers to get a refund.
He insisted the delays were not Ryanair's fault - the backlog was caused by 'governments grounding our fleet'.
