Ruth Langsford joked that she would haunt her husband, Eamonn Holmes if she died and he moved on with one of her friends. The Loose Women panellists were discussing when the appropriate time is to find love after losing a partner. Ruth, 61, said: “Don’t let other people judge you and ruin any chance of happiness” if you do fall in love again.

She turned to address the camera face on and addressed her husband: “Eamonn if you end up with one of my friends, I will come back and haunt you both, I’m just saying.” All the panellists fell about laughing as Coleen Nolan cheekily replied: “Yeah, well you won’t scare me!” Before Ruth quipped that “you can’t say that now” as Coleen has a new partner, Michael Jones.
