An upcoming Russell Brand show has been cancelled amid allegations of rape and sexual assault.
The promoters of Brand's Bipolarisation tour have confirmed Tuesday's show at the Theatre Royal Windsor has been postponed, alongside all remaining dates.
It comes after the Met Police confirmed they have received a report of a sexual assault alleged to have happened in 2003 in Soho in central London, the Mirror reports.
Various allegations of "rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse" were made against Brand in the Channel 4’s Dispatches – Russell Brand: In Plain Sight, in partnership with the Sunday Times.
The management team of Brand's tour said: "We are postponing these few remaining addiction charity fundraiser shows, we don't like doing it - but we know you'll understand."
The actor and comedian denies all allegations made against him.
The comedian released a video addressing the criminal allegations last night. Taking to his YouTube channel and posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, the comedian stated that he "absolutely refutes" the "serious allegations".
The Met Police saidIt read: “On Sunday, the Met received a report of a sexual assault alleged to have taken place in Soho in central London in 2003. Officers are in contact with the woman and will be providing her with support."
A spokesperson for the Met added: “We are aware of reporting by The Sunday Times and Channel 4's Dispatches about allegations of sexual offences.
“We first spoke with The Sunday Times on Saturday, 16 September and have since made further approaches to The Sunday Times and Channel 4 to ensure that anyone who believes they have been the victim of a sexual offence is aware of how to report this to the police.
