The struggle continued for 20 minutes until she apparently began punching his Cole's arm to free herself from his grip.Caroline, the report states, ended up jumping in the water to escape Cole and swim to a nearby boat, but he reportedly jumped in after her and allegedly tried to push her under. "Witnesses also claimed Cole grabbed Caroline by the throat with both hands, attempting to strangle her while holding her under the water in a rage," TMZ said. Bystanders supposedly screamed for Cole to stop, and several eventually jumped in the water to help rescue Caroline.
