Kaley Cuoco and David Oyelowo star in Prime Video‘s Role Play, a comedic action spy thriller that is set to drop on the streamer on January 12, 2024.
The Big Bang Theory’s Cuoco plays the role of Emma, a woman who is seemingly living the perfect life alongside her loving husband and two kids in the suburbs of New Jersey. When the couple decides to spice up their love life by doing a little role-playing, things go haywire when her husband David finds out his wife leads a secret life as an assassin for hire.
Thomas Vincent directed the film written by Seth Owen. Studiocanal is fully financing the Picture Company production, to which Amazon Prime Video took rights for the U.S. and many offshore territories. The pic is based on an original idea from Brillstein Entertainment Partners’ George Heller.
The Picture Company partners Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona are producing through their long-term deal at Studiocanal. Cuoco is producing through her Yes Norman Productions.
Bill Nighy and Connie Nielsen also star in the film which was mainly filmed in Berlin, Germany.
