Rod Stewart has revealed that he sends Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou a special gift every time his team defeats rivals Rangers.
Sir Rod has been in Australia this week doing promo for his upcoming tour there, where he will be supported by Cyndi Lauper.
The Celtic-daft rocker was questioned about his team's current manager - who hails from the Gold Coast - in a recent interview down under.
The 77-year-old was wearing his beloved Celtic strip when he was asked by the presenter: "You’re probably Celtic’s best known supporter and there is currently an Aussie in charge of your team... have you met Ange Postecoglou and how do you think he’s doing?"
As Rod laughed, saying he's a 'lovely fella', he added: "Are you kidding? I know Ange and his wife. I always see his wife in the director’s box when I go up there to see Celtic."
He went on to say that he sends him a special gift when they beat their rivals. He said: "Every time Ange beats Rangers, I send him a crate of Australian wine – I think it’s twice now. And if they beat them again I will send him another crate of Australian wine.
"He is such a lovely fella. The only word I can use is cool – the players and the fans love him. Thank you for giving him to us."
This year, the Hoops have defeated Rangers three times but the rivals are set to go head to head once again on January 2, so Mr Postecoglou could be receiving a new crate of vino in the new year if the Hoops, who are currently nine points ahead at the top of the league table, continue their winning streak.
