Rod Stewart has been charged with simple battery after he allegedly punched a security guard earlier this week.
According to a police report, the 74-year-old was at Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida on New Year’s Eve and was refused access to a party.
He was believed to have attempted to enter the event with his 39-year-old son Sean.
The security guard, Jessie Dixon, told police that he had been working at the event when he noticed a group trying to get into the private area.
