At the 2020 Oscars tonight, Elton John won Best Original Song for the second time in his career. “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” from Rocketman won the award over songs from Toy Story 4 (by Randy Newman), Frozen II (“Into the Unknown”), Breakthrough (by Diane Warren), and Harriet (by Cynthia Erivo). “Wow, this doesn’t suck,” Taupin said as he and John stepped onstage to accept their Oscar.
