Martial arts master Robert Wall, who trained and starred alongside Chuck Norris and Burce Lee, has passed away at the age of 82. No official cause of death has yet been revealed for the American actor. The star's passing was confirmed by his family in a statement to TMZ, which read: "Bob was the greatest husband and father. Family was Everything to him.
"He lived a remarkable life & There is a hole in our hearts that will never be filled. His spirit & legacy will live on forever within us. He was our rock," it was added by his devastated family.
Robert was a 9th degree Tang Too Do black belt after having trained for many years under Chuck, who brought the discipline to the West. He had an iconic career with roles in the hit seventies films Way of the Dragon and Enter the Dragon with icon martial arts star Bruce Lee. Robert and Bruce ended up having a real fight in the action movie Enter The Dragon, which left Robert with broken ribs.
Years after the scene was filmed, Robert explained that Lee had wanted the fighting scene to look as "authentic as possible". He admitted that Lee had told him: "Bob, I wanna hit you, and I wanna hit your hard." Back in 2017, he spoke further about the fight scene, saying that he had to fall on real glass during the scene that was shot up to six times. Enter The Dragon is one of the most famous martial arts movies of all time.
Robert played the villainous role of O'Hara in it. He also went on to star in films such as Game of Death, Code of Silence, Firewalker and Hero and the Terror alongside his training and business partner Chuck. Honing his skills in real life, he won the US professional Karate Championship in 1970.
