Buzzing Robbie Neilson has hailed Andy Halliday and Barrie McKay for "putting their bodies on the line" and playing through injuries against Ross County.
The Hearts boss admitted that going into the game he knew neither of the duo were likely to last the 90 minutes. Halliday netted the decisive Dingwall strike but there was some concern when he limped off for Lewis Neilson on the hour mark. He was followed by McKay who went off 15 minutes later but the Jambos boss didn't appear overly concerned about injuries to either - saying he knew going in he would have to rest them in the closing stages.
He said: "Both of them (Halliday and McKay) have been carrying knocks for the last few weeks but to their credit they've kept putting their bodies on the line for the team. I always knew Andy might have to come off, same with Barrie, and thankfully we've managed to get them off at some point.
"The guys who came in have done an outstanding job as well, so just now it's about being together, the staff, the players and the fanbase, who were absolutely exceptional today as you could see at the end there."
The win puts Hearts up to sixth in the league having played one game fewer than Hibs, who sit three points ahead of them in third place. Neilson added: "It's about digging this period out. All teams go through it but we're in a position where if we win our game in hand we go up to third in the league which is massive."

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter Opening statements began on Wednesday in a civil trial against Oscar-winning filmmaker Paul Haggis, who has been accused of raping a publicist nearly a decade ago. Haleigh Breest, who filed a lawsuit against Haggis in 2017, alleges that the screenwriter and director forced her to perform oral sex and then raped her after she reluctantly agreed to have a drink at his Soho apartment following a movie premiere. Her attorneys asserted to jurors that the director used his fame and position in Hollywood to pressure Breest, who was 26 at the time. “The defendant, Paul Haggis, is a famous movie director and screenwriter. He’s won two Oscars. He’s talented. He’s powerful. He’s also manipulative,” the plaintiff’s lawyer Zoe Salzman told the jurors in a Lower Manhattan courtroom. “The evidence in this case will show Mr. Haggis used his storytelling skills and fame to prey on, manipulate and attack vulnerable young women in the film industry.”
Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh are only two of many Hollywood celebrities who have shunned red carpet archetypes to stay completely covered up, and instead are opting to bare more in front of flashing camera lights. On Saturday, Wilde stepped out in a shimmering, see-through Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture gown for the second annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, which drew just as much discussion for its impeccable design as it did for the styling choice when Olivia's sheer dress revealed her bare chest. Leaving undergarments at home isn't a new fashion choice for A-list celebrities, but showing more comfort with taking risks in wardrobe choices — whether on Instagram or at a movie premiere — continues to be all the rage.
