9-1-1: Lone Star. Ready as ever to be getting back into the swing of things is Rob Lowe, and he brought out a dad joke to prove that he fits the parental role both on screen and off. And of course, his real-life sons couldn’t help but to call him out for it.
Not much is known about what's going down in 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4, aside from the anticipated Tarlos wedding or the possibility of a 9-1-1 crossover. While fans wait for answers there, Rob Lowe posted a pretty fun photo to Instagram. It looks like one of the first episodes of the season will take place at a fair, and that’s not the only thing that’s on fire -- as Lowe embraced a double whammy of a dad joke:Not only is the caption on brand for Lone Star, considering that Rob Lowe portrays a fire captain, but it's also a punny take on Alicia Keys’ popular song, “Girl On Fire.
” It’s hilariously bad, but that’s how just about all dad jokes are. Obviously, the actor’s own sons had to comment, with Lowe’s eldest son, Matthew, wondering if this was his dad’s way of trying to be like one of the cool kids by captioning a post with song lyrics:Meanwhile, Rob Lowe’s other son, John Owen, simply did not have the words for what his dad posted, and his response is quite funny:It’s always nice and funny to see that no matter how famous someone gets, they can still take the time to embarrass their children and come up with A+ puns. Rob Lowe has always been close to his family, as proven by the fact that there was even a family affair on Lone Star, when his brother, Chad, guest starred.
Not only that, but Lowe and John Owen also co-created Netflix series Unstable. Surely his family enjoys working with him, even if the dad jokes become too much. In addition to working together

Nancy Russell Nancy Russell worked in the music industry in Nashville for decades and was the manager to stars including Alan Jackson, Trisha Yearwood and — at the time of her Grammy-winning early 2000s comeback with “Van Lear Rose” — the late, great Loretta Lynn. Russell now lives in Southern California, consulting on independent music projects while focusing on screenwriting. She shared her memories of Lynn with Variety. The first time I saw Loretta Lynn in person was at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in 1986, about a year before I moved to Nashville. Dressed in bright turquoise spandex and a white blouse, she sang her hits with warmth and spirit, committing to every single member of that audience. Never could I imagine that 15 years later I’d have the privilege to be her manager.
We don’t hear much from Cheryl these days, which is a shame because the former L’Oréal ambassador was our go-to for beauty inspiration. She has, however, treated us to a rare look at a project she’s been working on – one that sees her reunite with three of her Girls Aloud bandmates. The foursome are pictured in matching pyjamas for an important photoshoot with Primark to honour their late band member Sarah Harding, who sadly passed away from breast cancer last September. The aim of the shoot is to raise money for The Christie Charitable Trust and Cancer Research UK through sales of the sleepwear. While the star-print navy PJs are certainly eye-catching – and we can’t wait to shop a co-ord for ourselves – we can’t quite take our eyes off the girls’ hairstyles.
Rylan Clark with a hair out of place, as his raven locks are always perfectly coiffed – but now he’s channelling his younger self with a new hairstyle. The TV presenter is now a household name, so it’s hard to remember a time when we didn’t really know much about Rylan, but it was The X Factor that introduced us to the Essex star back in 2012. And when he first walked onto the stage for his audition in front of judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Rita Ora, and Louis Walsh, the singer’s hair was very different to how it looks now.
Man, look at Netflix killing it with the cross-promotion!

Owen Gleiberman Chief Film Critic “Causeway,” starring Jennifer Lawrence as a U.S. Army soldier recovering from injuries that are physical, mental, and spiritual, is the furthest thing from a genre film. Yet it belongs to what I’ve come to think of as a genre: the slow-burn non-verbal indie gloomfest. In saying that, I don’t mean to make light of the subject. Lawrence plays Lynsey, a member of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers who returns from Afghanistan after riding in a vehicle that was struck by a bomb, which caused her to have a cerebral hemorrhage. At the start, she’s seated in a wheelchair, waiting for the home health-care worker (Jayne Houdyshell) who’s going to look after her as she undergoes rehab. Tentatively, Lynsey starts to walk, but for a while she struggles to bathe, drive, remember things. The brain injury has smashed and weakened her; she’s a person in fragments.
