Rob Lowe celebrates 33 years of sobriety

Former Coronation Street actress Katie McGlynn has told how her hard-hitting soap storyline is still saving lives to this day. In 2018 Katie's much-loved character Sinead Osbourn was diagnosed with cervical cancer while she was pregnant with her son Bertie.

Commemorating a major milestone. Rob Lowe celebrated reaching 33 years of sobriety by sharing an inspirational message with fans.

Rob Lowe is soaking in the sea and sunshine as he celebrates a major sober milestone. The 59-year-old actor shared a shirtless selfie on Wednesday as he marked the 33rd anniversary of his sobriety journey. In the photo, Lowe relaxes in the ocean and stares straight into the camera as if to address his followers directly. «Thirty-three years ago today I found recovery and a tribe that has sustained me on my incredible, grateful journey,» he captioned the image.

Rob Lowe's life as a sober man is bountiful.  The "Parks and Recreation" actor detailed his journey to sobriety over the past three decades, writing "33 years ago today I found recovery and a tribe that has sustained me on my incredible, grateful journey," he wrote beneath a photo of himself in the ocean. "My life is full of love, family, God, opportunity, friends, work, dogs and fun," he added.

Rob Lowe has a massive reason to celebrate today.

Naman Ramachandran Signature Entertainment has acquired U.K. and Ireland rights to sci-fi thriller “The Astronaut,” starring Emma Roberts (“We’re the Millers”) and Laurence Fishburne (“The Matrix”), from Highland Film Group. Written and directed by Jess Varley (“Phobias”) in her solo directorial and writing debut, the film follows astronaut Sam Walker (Roberts) who, upon returning from her first space mission, is found miraculously alive in a punctured capsule floating deep off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. General William Harris (Fishburne) arranges for her to be placed under intense NASA surveillance in a high security house for rehabilitation and medical testing. However, when disturbing occurrences begin happening around the property, Walker fears that something extraterrestrial has followed her back to Earth.

Emma Roberts is set to star in comedy Hot Mess, which David Garrett’s Mister Smith Entertainment is launching at the Cannes Market next week. 

Manori Ravindran Executive Editor of International Emma Roberts is set to headline the comedy “Hot Mess.” The movie marks the feature directorial debut for film and TV helmer Katie Locke O’Brien (“Ghosts,” “A.P. Bio”). The project was written by Gabrielle D’Amico and is produced by Debbie Liebling (“South Park”), Maggie Malina (“Resort To Love”) and Laura Lewis (“Mr. Malcolm’s List”). Currently in pre-production and scheduled to start shooting in early 2024, Mister Smith Entertainment will launch international sales at this month’s Cannes market. Laura Lewis at Rebelle Media is representing North American rights.
