RIP Naya Rivera: Glee cast gathers, hold hands at Lake Piru in powerful tribute to their co star

Heather Morris is holding on to faith as she reflects upon the death of her friend and former "Glee" co-star Naya Rivera. Rivera's body was recovered from Lake Piru near Los Angeles, Calif.

Just a day after Naya Rivera was confirmed dead by authorities, the Glee star's cause of death was revealed. After completing an autopsy, the Ventura County Medical Examiner confirmed the identity of Rivera's body and has determined her cause of death to be drowning and the manner of death is an accident, via Twitter.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Department confirmed in a press conference this afternoon that Glee actress Naya Rivera's body was recovered from Lake Piru after she died from drowning. "Today our search teams have recovered a body in the lake," the sheriff said.

A body was found in Lake Piru in California amid searches for Naya Rivera and now, some of her Glee co-stars are posting messages.

TMZ reports that her body was recovered from Lake Piru on Monday morning.According to CNN, Rivera was declared missing on July 8 after she had rented a boat and headed out on Lake Piru in California with only her 4-year-old son, Josey Hollis Dorsey.When the boat didn’t return in time, a search began. Rivera’s son was found sleeping alone in the boat, and there was no sign of his mother.

Heather Morris wants to help in the search for Naya Rivera. Morris, who starred alongside Rivera on shared on Twitter on Saturday night that she was hoping to «conduct an on foot search and rescue mission» to find her missing co-star.
