Riot Fest is going to look a bit different from past iterations.For the first time ever, the long-running punk festival will take place Sept. 19-22 at Bridgeview, IL’s SeatGeek Stadium, which the fest has officially dubbed RiotLand.From 2015-23 (excluding 2020), Riot Fest took place at Chicago’s Douglas Park; they moved to the new venue this year due to disagreements with the Chicago Park District.“Though our curtains may have closed in Douglass Park, another one has opened,” Riot Fest co-founder Mike “Riot Mike” Petryshyn said, referring to “RiotLand” statement.
“It’s something like you’ve never seen before. And it’s far overdue.”And while the venue change may be making headlines, headliners at this year’s star-studded extravaganza are nothing to sneeze at.They include emo hitmakers Fall Out Boy, metal mainstays Slayer, Grammy-winning ’90s icon Beck, Hip-Hop pioneers Public Enemy and punk rock royalty The Offspring.Bright Eyes, Sublime, St.
