Rihanna Donates $5 Million to On-the-Ground Coronavirus Relief Efforts

Celebrities are doing everything they can in order to help others amid concerns over the coronavirus.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' support for those suffering during the coronavirus pandemic goes beyond their public $1 million donation to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada. E! reports this evening that the couple donated $400,000 to four New York hospitals.

Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds are making another big donation to help out during the ongoing health crisis.

E! reports this evening that the couple donated $400,000 to four New York hospitals. New York is currently the state with the most coronavirus cases in the country. It's also Lively and Reynolds' home: They have an apartment in New York City and a house north of the city, in Bedford.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are also contributing to the massive fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation, which has already made substantial donations to coronavirus-relief, today announced that an additional $1 million in grants towards COVID-19 response efforts will be matched by Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation. The funds, totaling a combined $2 million between the two foundations, will support undocumented workers, the children of frontline health workers and first responders, and incarcerated, elderly and homeless populations in New York City and Los Angeles.
