Richard Simmons has not been seen in public for eight years, but he’s not as reclusive as you probably thought.
The 74-year-old former fitness expert stopped teaching at his workout studio in February 2014 and has not been seen in public since then.

While promoting the documentary, TMZ’s Harvey Levin opened up about what Richard‘s life is like these days.
“We found out he likes going to the beach, he’ll go shopping,” Levin said. “There has not been a single paparazzi agency…that has gotten anything of Richard Simmons out in public in more than eight years.”
“We have answers – we know what happened to Richard Simmons, where he is and what he does,” Levin added. “There are two big things and probably either one could have caused this, one more than the other. But a lot of them we show are just ridiculous, even thought they’ve got a lot of oxygen.”
Richard spoke out in a statement in 2017, his first time speaking publicly in three years.
