Shore stopped by the Variety Studio presented by Audible while at the Sundance Film Festival and said his Simmons movie is “all about love,” with or without the real Simmons’ blessing. “My come from has always been love,” Shore said.
William Earl Pauly Shore‘s performance as Richard Simmons is seeing the light of day, just days after plans for a feature film biopic were announced. A 10-minute short film starring Shore, titled “The Court Jester,” premiered at the Cabin in Park City on Friday. The event isn’t an official Sundance Film Festival screening, but was certainly positioned to draw in festival goers.

Richard Simmons has returned to social media as news hit the internet that Pauly Shore is starring in a short film portraying him. On Wednesday, The Lewis Brother YouTube channel shared an official teaser for the short titled, The Court Jester.The news made it to Simmons, who disappeared from the public eye in 2014. Taking to his Facebook, the 75-year-old wrote, “Hi Everybody! You may have heard they may be doing a movie about me with Pauly Shore.

I spoke to Pauly last year and told him [Richard] is not ready to tell his story.”Shore looks like a dead ringer for Simmons in the trailer and promo stills released for “The Court Jester,” which show the comic sporting the fitness legend’s trademark curly red hair, uber-short shorts and sparkly blue tank top.
