Rich the Kid dropped by Billboard's NYC office Monday (March 9) to give fans a taste of his Bossman album with a live performance, before it drops Friday.
During his interview, Rich delved into how his friendship with fellow rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again makes all the difference when they're cooking in the studio. "You know, it's just a vibe. When we get in there, it's just we feed off each other and go right in," the 27-year-old rapper told Billboard hip-hop editor Carl Lamarre.

Frank Ocean typically keeps his moves under wraps, so when Rich The Kid began hinting at an unreleased collaboration between the two in 2018, fans were excited, if skeptical. The Atlanta rapper has dropped three albums since then, but a Frank Ocean feature has yet to materialize. In a new interview with Billboard, he made it clear that it’s not likely to see daylight anytime soon.
"I don't know what happened to the Frank Ocean record," says Rich The Kid, when asked about a collaboration with the elusive R&B star that he teased in 2018. "[The Frank record] is old.
Rich the Kid means business in his third album Boss Man, out Friday (March 13), and he shares his unapologetic flow with Nicki Minaj on their standout collaboration "Not Sorry."

Rich the Kid signed with Republic Records after leaving Interscope in December, and he just dropped his first album with the label, BOSS MAN. The tracklist includes the previously released cuts, “That’s Tuff,” “Money Talk,” and “Red.” Last year, his Rich Forever Music label released the collaborative album, Rich Forever 4—and this is his first solo LP since 2019’s The World Is Yours 2.
