The 10-episode half-hour comedy follows Kameāloha as she juggles a budding medical career and life as a teenager.

Former Andi Mack star Peyton Elizabeth Lee has landed the title role in Doogie Kameāloha, M.D., a re-imagining of the popular 1989 ABC series Doogie Howser, M.D. The reboot of the Neil Patrick Harris-starring half-hour medical dramedy with a female lead comes from How I Met Your Mother and Fresh Off the Boat alumna Kourtney Kang and 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.

Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., the son of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, and Da’Vinchi (All American, grown-ish) are set to star in Starz’s drama series Black Mafia Family, from executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Power, Power Book II: Ghost, For Life) and writer/executive producer and Detroit native Randy Huggins (Star, Rebel, Power).

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association on Tuesday said that Satchel and Jackson Lee, the children of director Spike Lee and producer Tonya Lewis Lee, have been selected as this year’s Golden Globe Ambassadors. It’s the first time two siblings of color have been selected for the honorary roles.
