Ralph Fiennes has reportedly signed on to play the role of school headmistress Miss Trunchbull in the upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical Matilda!
While the character was played by a woman in the 1996 movie Matilda, men in drag have played the role in the stage musical.
The Daily Mail‘s Baz Bamigboye is reporting that Ralph is “fully attached” to the film, which will be directed by the Broadway show’s director Matthew Warchus. The movie will be made by Netflix and a shooting date
