Queen's Jubilee pageant plans unveiled and how to get involved

This evening, a roster of celebrities will take part in the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebration.Taking place on Sunday 15th May, the event will be presented by Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham, alongside a series of other celebrity hosts taking us back through the 70-year history of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. And one of those celebrities is Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, whose inclusion in the line-up has left many scratching their heads.

This Morning's Holly Willoughby led the compliments for her co-host Phillip Schofield as he posed in his suit outside Windsor Castle. Phillip looked super-smart in his black suit ans bow-tie as he set the scene for The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebration on ITV.

Queen Elizabeth will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, which honors her 70 years of reign. The event will host a variety of performances from the world’s biggest performers, including a “top secret” project that’s being developed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The footage depicts a beaming Princess Elizabeth showing off her engagement ring to the camera.Philip and Elizabeth wed in November 1947 and were married for 73 years, until Philip's death last April just a few months before his 100th birthday.Simon Young, the BBC’s commissioning editor for history, said the broadcaster was honored to have access to the queen's personal film collection.“This documentary is an extraordinary glimpse into a deeply personal side of the royal family that is rarely seen, and it’s wonderful to be able to share it with the nation as we mark her Platinum Jubilee," he said.“Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen” will air in the U.K.

ET understands Harry’s relatives are also looking forward to meeting the couple's infant daughter and seeing Archie, who is now a 3-year-old toddler. While ET has learned that it was the sovereign herself who invited Harry and Meghan to attend her celebrations, they will not be permitted to partake in the royal family's traditional balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace during the annual Trooping the Colour event.

The Sex Pistols’ official social media accounts have announced a reissue of the band’s second single, ‘God Save The Queen’, with two limited edition recreations of the original vinyl releases being made available to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee.Back in 1977, releasing ‘God Save The Queen’ to coincide with the monarch’s silver jubilee seemed so dangerous that some retailers refused to stock the record and some versions of that week’s official chart blanked out the track’s title. Yet putting it out again 45 years later to coincide with the latest anniversary of the Queen taking the throne almost makes it feel like the record is part of the official celebrations.The single will be re-pressed so to recreate the original releases as pressed by both A&M and Virgin.

Belgium's King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were pictured holding hands on Tuesday during the second day of their three-day visit to Greece.The day was spent focussing on the archaeological collaborations between the two nations, with a visit to the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio. For the outing Queen Mathilde, 49, showed looked elegant in a smart blue and white belted dress and a large woven hat as she aimed to keep the Greek sun at bay.
