Queen Elizabeth Issues a Sad Statement After Her 94th Birthday

It's hard to believe that it's already been a year since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle their first child, a healthy baby boy who they named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Since then, the trio's life has drastically changed since Harry and Meghan made the monumental decision to take a step back from the Royal Family and live a more independent life.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s staff is making a huge sacrifice during the Coronavirus pandemic to keep the royal couple safe. According to a report by The Sun, about 22 staff members are currently quarantining in Windsor Castle with the Queen (94) and the Duke of Edinburgh (98).

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s baby son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor joined in with a video call to his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II on her 94th birthday.

For the first time in her 68-year reign, Queen Elizabeth is celebrating her birthday without any fanfare. Queen Elizabeth II turned 94 today and is spending her birthday with no pomp and show. According to the tradition, every year, the Queen's birthday is marked with gunshots and other festivities in the honour of Her Majesty. However, as the Coronavirus crisis continues to affect the globe, the Queen has decided to not have any gun salutes in her honor for her birthday.

There will be no pomp or circumstance for Queen Elizabeth II's 94th birthday on Tuesday. ET has learned that for the first time in her 68-year reign, there will be no gun salutes in honor of Her Majesty's special day. 

Prince Philip is speaking out from quarantine! The 98-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II is currently in isolation with his wife at Windsor Castle, and on Monday, he released his first public statement since the coronavirus pandemic broke. 

One of the many consequences of everyone being stuck at home during quarantine is that birthday parties and celebrations have been majorly downgraded. And that's especially true for Queen Elizabeth, who usually has a whole parade to celebrate her birthday (it's just one of the many perks of being the Queen of England!).

Queen Elizabeth turns 94 next Tuesday but there will be a few things missing from the celebrations this year.

Prince William is concerned about his family amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and he recently opened up about how the health crisis has left him anxious for his elderly grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. According to the data released by Johns Hopkins University, the number of deaths linked to the novel coronavirus has reached 150,000.

While his family is safely self-isolating, Prince William still has some concerns about the senior members of the Royal Family. In a joint interview with his wife, Duchess Kate Middleton, 38, the Duke of Cambridge, 37, shared that, following his father, Prince Charles’, 71,  positive diagnosis for the coronavirus, he grew “quite concerned” for his family.
