Before he was singing about that "yummy-yum," a young Justin Bieber was serenading new fans with "Baby," his debut album's lead single that was released on Jan. 18, 2010.

They may no longer be in a relationship, but apparently Selena Gomez and ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber still have something in common. It appears that like Justin did earlier this month, Selena is also now asking fans to stream and buy her new album so that she can debut a number one, knocking Roddy Ricch off the top of the charts.

The Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber saga went on for almost four years. Jelena, as fans used to call them, had a lot of reported ups-and-downs over the course of their on-and-off again relationship that played out in a very public way. Although both singers have moved on, Selena having found herself again through her mental health journey and Justin having married Hailey Baldwin, the two have used their former relationship for the inspiration of many of their songs.

Roddy Ricch emerged victorious this week in a heated chart battle with Justin Bieber, landing his hit single, “The Box,” atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Now it already looks like he has more in the chamber. Just as “The Box” rose to No. 1, his Mustard collaboration, “High Fashion,” made a huge leap of its own and seems poised to be a quick follow-up hit.

Selena Gomez recently released her album titled Rare. A few of the many songs from the album left fans convinced that they were inspired by her relationship with Justin Bieber. While the album featured songs about heartbreak, love and more, Selena recently confessed that she excluded a couple of songs from the album. Appearing on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the 27-year-old singer admitted there she wanted to feature a few more songs in her album but chose to leave them out.
