Professor Green has penned a heartbreaking tribute to his dog named Arthur in the wake of his passing.The rapper, 38, took to Instagram on Monday 7 February to announce the devastating news, just days after asking his followers if they’d ever had a positive outcome after their pets had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Next to a photo of him hugging his Aylestone Old Tyme English Bulldog, he wrote: “You were my best friend.

He continued: “You had such a gorgeous soul, so loving to anyone who needed it. You were with me through the darkest periods of my life and I can’t help but think you were an angel on earth, you got me here, saw me with my son and said bye.” Professor Green, real name Stephen Manderson, went on to say that Arthur’s cancer treatment initially looked optimistic, but when the father-of-one saw his furry friend last, he “refused to get up”.
“Last night they called me while they were trying to resuscitate you, but I know you’d already made your decision,” Stephen continued. “Enjoy the freedom now mate; my dreams are always an open door for you to say hello should you fancy it… “You were loved by so many mate; I didn’t lose a pet, I lost a best friend and he wouldn’t want me to be as broken as I am, but I am mate; loving you hurts so much at the moment”.The rapper’s celebrity
