Prince Harry once left a group of reporters unimpressed with a 'rude' remark while on a Royal tour with wife Meghan Markle.
The Sussexes headed out on an international tour in 2018 shortly after their wedding at Windsor Castle. Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, visited Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, with their trip coinciding with the Invictus Games, which took place in Sydney that year.
The tour was deemed a huge success for the newlyweds, with Meghan even announcing her pregnancy as she and Harry landed in Sydney ahead of their 16-day tour. However, behind the scenes things weren't so great.
Royal correspondent and author Valentine Low has recalled a super awkward moment between Harry and the members of the press who attended the tour. Speaking on HELLO!'s podcast, he told how it was on a flight back to Sydney that things became awkward. Valentine explained: "We were flying from Tonga back to Sydney.
And often on these tours, there comes a point towards the end, when the royal might come back to the back of the plane and have a chat with us off the record, you know, not for printing, but it's a way of making bonds. "It's a way of keeping us sweet. It's a way of having informal contact.
And we were promised that he or they would come to the back of the plane, and it didn't happen. It didn't happen and this was a four or five-hour flight, 'When's this gonna happen?'" He went on to explain how the plane landed and there had still been no contact with either Meghan or Harry, leaving the reporters confused.
The couple then finally came to the back of the plane, with Megan not saying "much". "She did make some strange remark about us wanting to get back for our Sunday lunch.
