Prince Andrew 'making nightly visits to Queen' after sexual assault settlement

Prince Andrew has reportedly been making secret nightly visits to Windsor Castle to see the Queen.The Duke, who turned 62 on Saturday, was allegedly driven to see his mother every day last week after a settlement was reached in his sexual assault case against Virginia Giuffre, thought to be worth £12 million. The father-of-two reached a settlement, which he will reportedly receive help from the Queen to pay, with the claimant out of court, which means he will no longer be required to appear in a US court for a jury trial.
One royal source has now claimed Andrew has been making the five-mile car journey from his Royal Lodge home into Windsor Castle to speak with the 95 year old monarch. A royal insider told The Sun: “Andrew has been very careful and is trying to keep out of sight.
“He knows there are photographers in the daytime and his best chance to avoid them is after dark. “He realises how serious this whole issue has been and the damage it has done to the monarchy. “The last thing he wanted to do was cause his beloved mother so much anguish at her age and in her Platinum Jubilee year.” It comes after The Telegraph previously reported that the total amount Andrew is set to pay to Giuffre and her charity exceeds £12million.
The publication went on to claim the Queen has already been privately paying for Andrew's legal costs and will now "partly fund" the settlement. It is said the Queen is anxious to help her son move on from his legal battle, and
