‘Primates Of Park Avenue’ Series Adaptation In Works From Yahlin Chang, Jonathan Glickman & MGM TV

Netflix’s Three-Body Problem has tapped Oscar-nominated Hong Kong director Derek Tsang (Better Days) to helm the series adaptation of Liu Cixin’s sci-fi trilogy. The series hails from Game of Thrones alumni David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who serve as showrunners and executive producers under their overall deal with the streamer. Alexander Woo co-created the series with the GOT duo and will serve as executive producer and writer under his deal with Netflix.

Hong Kong government has confirmed it has given Nicole Kidman an exemption from the city’s strict quarantine procedures, while currently tightening inbound travel restrictions for ordinary residents.Through her Blossom Films production company, Kidman is attached as an executive producer on “The Expats,” an Amazon Studios series directed by U.S.-based Chinese helmer Lulu Wang (“The Farewell”) that is currently shooting in the city.
