Preston North End defender Bambo Diaby has urged Alvaro Fernandez to return to Deepdale next season, joking that he will "kill" the Manchester United defender if he doesn't.

Asked if he thinks he will stay friends with Fernandez regardless, Diaby joked: "If he does not I kill him. So, he decides; I know where he lives and know everything about him, so..."
