A mum has asked if it is wrong for her to ask her husband to get rid of her son's dog. The pregnant woman posed the question after her partner bought the canine despite her being terrified of the animals since a young age, reports Wales Online.
Posting on the social media site, Reddit, under the username 'doggono', the woman claims she is angry at her husband for buying the pooch however he promised it would not 'come near' her. She says how she reluctantly agreed after seeing how happy it made her child and with the assurance that it would be kept well away from her vicinity.
The pregnant woman says the situation was fine for the first couple of months and she 'barely thought' about the canine. However, she said that all changed a few days ago when the dog came inside the house and 'freaked' her out.
The mother was stunned by the intrusion and says she served her husband an ultimatum after he 'broke his promise' to keep the dog away from her. The woman wanted the dog taken away but her partner is refusing to do so because of the connection it has with their son.
The husband also states that the canine is 'harmless' and that she should spend time with it to see that is the truth. However, the woman has refused and says the dog 'has to go'.
The mother wrote: "For two months it was fine and I barely thought about the dog being so close - but a few days ago the dog came inside and it freaked me out. I told my husband he had to get rid of it now since he broke his promise and I didn’t trust him to keep it away from me anymore.
"My husband doesn’t want to get rid of it because our son is very attached to it already and the dog is harmless according to him. He wants me to let him take me around the dog so that I’ll stop being so
