An expectant mother who collapsed with Covid-19 did not meet her baby son for ten weeks.
Tanviha Quraishi-Akhtar was 33 weeks pregnant when she tested positive for the illness alongside her husband.
They did not experience severe symptoms and, at the time of contracting the virus, vaccinations had not yet been rolled out to pregnant woman, as reported by Lancs Live.
This left Tanviha with little protection from the virus.
