Pregnant former Love Island star Laura Anderson is eagerly anticipating the birth of her first child - a baby girl - who is due to be born in a matter of weeks. Laura, 34, is looking towards solo mum life, after she split from her baby's father, former EastEnders star Gary Lucy, 41, around the same time as she announced her pregnancy to the world.
With the birth of her baby just around the corner, Laura is doing everything she can to feel prepared, from packing her hospital bag, to moving house, and thinking about labour. Speaking in her weekly exclusive pregnancy column with OK!, Laura has even admitted that she's started thinking about labour positions, as she said: "You have to think about gravity!" I'm thinking about labour I've got my hospital bag packed and ready, but I keep panicking, like 'what if I go into labour when I'm not at home and I don't have the bag?' I still feel like my baby is going to come early - I don't think I have two months' worth of growth left in me.
I actually thought I was further along than I am, at 33 weeks, but I'm actually only 32 weeks. I'm thinking about snacks to take - I've been told this is a big must-do for labour, and to bring straws, because apparently, when you're in labour, someone has to hold your drink and you just suck it from a straw.
A big thing I'm thinking about is labour positions. I have a whole picture album on my phone of positions to be in whilst in labour.
There's lots of positions where you're not on your back - you have to think about gravity! I'm feeling more ready to be a mum I finally found a new flat, so I will be moving in a few weeks' time, so I'm starting to pack and I'm really excited. It's got more space than the one I'm in now, so I will have somewhere

Despite an ongoing SAG strike, which could mean that the event features no major stars, the Venice Film Festival announced an incredibly star-studded slate of films for 2023. Seriously, even by Venice standards, the festival features an absolutely ridiculous number of major films that will have an impact on the rest of the year, especially during awards season.
Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos addressed Hollywood’s dual SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes alongside the release of the company’s Q2 earnings results Wednesday. Sarandos said: “Let me start by making something absolutely clear: This strike is not an outcome that we want. We make deals all the time. We are constantly at the table negotiating with writers with directors with actors and producers with everyone across the industry. And we very much hoped to reach an agreement by now. So I also want to say, if I may, on a personal level, I was raised in a union household. My dad was a member of IBEW Local 640, he was a union electrician. And I remember his local because that union was very much a part of our lives when I was growing up. And I also remember on more than one occasion, my dad being out on strike. And I remember that because it takes an enormous toll on your family, financially and emotionally. You should know that nobody here, nobody within the AMPTP, and I’m sure nobody at SAG or nobody at the WGA, took any of this lightly. But we’ve got a lot of work to do there. There are a handful of complicated issues. We’re super committed to getting to an agreement as soon as possible, one that is equitable, and one that enables the industry and everybody in it to move forward into the future.

Sophia Scorziello editor When director Anthony Caronna was pitched with making a series out of Elon Green’s 2021 book “Last Call,” about a string of queer-targeted murders in 1990’s Manhattan, he had some reservations. “I loved the book,” said Caronna. “But I passed on the project because I wasn’t interested at that time in doing true crime. My biggest concern was re-victimizing the community and possibly working against the community in a way.” True crime media is a true mixed bag. Each documentary, docuseries or podcast sits somewhere on a spectrum of educational and entertaining; while the latter might sound like a jarring way to describe the storytelling of real-life criminals and real-life victims, it’s not incorrect to say that some audiences find sensationalized crime stories enticing.
