A former social club is to be demolished and replaced by ‘affordable’ three-bed family homes.
Developers have been granted permission to knock down the Unsworth South Social Club on the corner of Mode Hill Lane and Derwent Avenue and build 10 homes.
The building and its extensive car park have been vacant since 2019 and there had been concern expressed by neighbours at the deteriorating condition of the site, which is within the Hillock housing estate and surrounded by existing homes.
